How Broccoli grows
Our plants in the garden grew because of photosynthesis. The plant was being watered with water and got carbon dioxide from the air. The sun's energy caused the reaction to occur making glucose sugar and oxygen, this process leads to cellular respiration. In cellular respiration the oxygen and sugar made create usable energy by turning it into carbon dioxide and water. Mitosis in the plants cells caused the plant to get bigger because the cells replicate by copying all the contents of the cell then splitting into two daughter cells.
